Due to the grow of computer system technology in the beginning 1990's standard business process of logistics such as material requirements planning (MRP) and manufacturing resource planning had the ability to grow and mix under the collective banner of an ERP system, Enterprise Resource Planning. The good results of this sophisticated application software made possible a variety of business aspects to get integrated into one complete logistics process which afterwards developed to encompass a range of aspects of business beyond manufacturing. This kind of software was developed quickly and by the mid -1990's ERP software was able to deal with all key functions of an enterprise. Right now ERP software is an indispensable utility to governments, corporations, non-profit organizations and many more.
